We arrive in Vienna
Saturday started with a walk to Starbucks! Not my choice but Patty was desperate for a coffee and food. Then we went to the Albertina Museum. The permanent exhibit is Monet to Chagall and another floor of Picasso. There was also a large exhibit beginning with Durer and through Munch that took us through the process of printing that Durer developed using woodcuts and progressing through various refinements ending with lithographs quite a bit later. It’s a very impressive museum and we all really enjoyed it. An audio guide was loaded onto our phones so we can continue to meander through the museum virtually whenever we want.
After lunch and a nap, we all went to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant then went to a performance of Mozart and Schubert by a string quartet at St. Anne’s church. The music was great. The pews in the church were pure torture to sit in and we were happy when it ended so that we could be out of pain.
